Terrific price in my estimation. However, it has been a very long time since I've used this brand. If memory serves I had no problems with it in informal target shooting. I was using an ammo I've used quite a bit without issues, and liked because it was cheap and reloadable - Armscor. With the malfunction, the forward assist didn't do anything, but I was able to pull back the charging handle to eject the cartridge. I will say that I was able to take some unfired Armscor ammo and it plunked just fine, so I'm wondering if the factory loads are too much for whatever grade of brass they're using, causing some sort of distortion that isn't corrected with the sizing die... I've found that Armscor 38 Special primers are a little harder than other sorts of ammo. They don't ignite 100% of the time in a few of my revolvers on the first strike while shooting double-action. But this many in a row signals a potentially bad batch.With proper grip, I've had no problems with normal velocity ammo. Some Geco from the same period was wildly erratic, some hot rounds and some that didn't even eject the empty. Not sure if that's still true. ...
